🏋️‍♀️ Career Exercise 🏃
⏳ 15 minutes ⏰
📈 3-4 times/year 📊
Target 5-7 People💰

What You Do

1. Schedule 15 minutes to send Insight Requests - we'll give you a draft template to send via email/slack/Linkedin
2. Get notified when your responses compare how others see you vs. how you see yourself
3. Get a synopsis over email of key learnings + potential additions to your growth areas

Who?

Think about the people you like and respect - people you have worked with/are working with who you would love to work with again. Our happiness at work is almost always more about who we work with than what we are doing, so by gathering perspective from people you love will mean you will aim to replicate the things that those people love about you - and improve on the areas they suggest. This makes it more likely that you'll work with other people you love in the future.
It is good round out your self awareness by targeting different types of stakeholders - think about
your manager your peers, your direct reports, your cross functional collaborators even your clients (if your role has a number of external stakeholders)

How Many?

I like to suggest a variety of people so that you have clear signal in your data. This is a bit easier if you have a lot of stakeholders/stakeholder types, but I like to suggest 5-7 people as a minimum (but you can always do more later).
